Plot Summary
Gemma and Alice have been best friends since they were babies. They do everything together—sleepovers, birthday parties, sharing secrets—they’re like sisters. But everything changes when Alice’s parents announce they’re moving to Scotland, hundreds of miles away.
Suddenly, the two girls are faced with something they’ve never had to deal with: being apart. As they try to hold onto their friendship through letters, phone calls, and visits, their bond is tested in ways they never imagined.
Gemma struggles with anger, jealousy, and sadness, while Alice seems to be adjusting to her new life. Can their friendship survive the distance—and the changes they’re both going through?
