Description
In The Reptile Room, the Baudelaire orphans—Violet, Klaus, and Sunny—are sent to live with their kind and quirky new guardian, Dr. Montgomery Montgomery, a friendly herpetologist (snake expert) who fills their lives with hope and excitement for the first time since their parents’ tragic death.
Dr. Montgomery’s home is full of fascinating creatures, including the mysterious Incredibly Deadly Viper (which, ironically, is perfectly harmless). But just as the Baudelaires begin to feel safe, their old enemy Count Olaf returns in disguise—as the suspicious “Stephano,” Dr. Montgomery’s new assistant—with another wicked plan to steal their inheritance.
As danger creeps back in, the orphans must use their intelligence, bravery, and teamwork to expose Olaf’s identity and escape yet another terrible fate.
