Description
In Book the Seventh of the Series of Unfortunate Events, the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny — find themselves sent to a strange place governed by the idea that “it takes a village to raise a child.” Unfortunately for them, the village in question is V.F.D., a town full of crows, confusing rules, and residents who are anything but helpful.
Trying to escape the clutches of the evil Count Olaf once again, the Baudelaires face riddles, betrayal, a secret code hidden in poems, and the mysterious V.F.D. organization. And, of course, everything is made even worse by the villagers’ love of ridiculous laws and endless suspicion.
As they dig deeper into the secrets surrounding their parents’ past and Olaf’s evil schemes, the orphans must rely on their wit, bravery, and each other to survive a place where nothing is as it seems — and every turn leads to more misfortune.
